What's The Buzz? Beehive Co-op Reopening In Edgewood Retail

Beehive Co-op, which had been located in SoBu (south Buckhead), will be reopening by month end in a new location with new ownership. Formerly sandwiched between Cafe Intermezzo and Bluefin Restaurant in a small strip center with limited parking, their new site is sure to be a better fit for all. Occupying just under 2700 s/f, the new store will be in Sembler's sprawling Edgewood Retail District on Caroline Street. According to their site, "Beehive Co-op strives to nurture the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of emerging designers and provide them with new markets and opportunities for their products". Basically it's Etsy on a local scale with the a boutique setting. Behive Co-op was launched by graphic designer Petra Geiger in 2004 and was sold to frequent customer Viviana Campbell in 2007. Under a franchise agreement, Geiger now operates her own Beehive Co-op retail store in Mt. Kisco, an affluent community in Westchester County New York. ToNeTo Atlanta
